Y-type strainer is an essential device in pipeline systems for conveying media. It is usually installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valves, pressure relief valves, level control valves, or other equipment to remove impurities from the medium and protect the valves and equipment from normal use. The working principle of the Y-type strainer is that when the fluid passes through the strainer, impurities are blocked by the strainer element in the strainer, and the ideal fluid is discharged from the outlet of the strainer, achieving the purpose of purification.

Installation and maintenance:
The Y-type strainer can be installed horizontally or vertically. The inlet and outlet directions should be consistent with the direction of the arrow on the valve body. After the strainer works for a period of time, impurities will accumulate in the strainer element, which will increase pressure drop and decrease flow velocity. It is necessary to remove impurities from the strainer element in time.
